Hey, it's okay!

A favorite blogger of mine, Carly from The College Prepster, did a post just like this once and I was surprisingly moved by it. It was like a reality check, where she bravely admitted that it ain’t all sunshine, lollipops and perfectly planned days. She reminded us that we’re only human, just young adults doing our best--sometimes taking it day by day--despite what our pretty Instagrams or clever tweets may portray. She inspired me, and I hope she’s okay with me following in her fearless footsteps and creating a list of my own.

(to not know how to pose...)

Hey, it’s okay…
to reward yourself with Chipotle for getting through that test/long work day.
to use dry shampoo two days in a row.
to look funny in a picture.
to laugh out loud at Friends.
to pay for a Frosty with coins only.
to dance around the apartment.
to get excited over a sunset.
to miss your family.
to change into sweats the minute you get home, even though you’ll have to change again in an hour.
to go to the mall and not spend a dime.
to have a messy room sometimes.
to daydream.

Next time you want to hide your face for doing something like the things above, just tell yourself, “Hey, it’s okay!” Keep giving your best. You're doing better than you think.

What would you add to this list? Let's be brave together!
